Securemedy is hiring Security Officers to support a private security program in the Atlanta, GA area. Successful candidates demonstrate a strong command presence, excellent observation and reporting skills, professional communication, and integrity and reliability under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control facility access points.
- Screen visitors using handheld magnetometers, walk-through metal detectors and X-ray screening equipment.
- Observe and report safety or security concerns.
- Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports.
- Provide professional customer service to visitors and staff.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
Requirements, Licenses & Screening
- Current Georgia unarmed security license
- 24 hours of classroom instruction
- 16 hours of weapons training
- Handcuff certification
- Baton certification
- OC spray certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- Drug screening
- Physical examination
- Criminal background check
- Fingerprinting
Preferred Qualifications
- Military or law enforcement experience.
